Paycheck deception passes Missouri House

The Missouri House just passed HB64, the latest billionaire-backed attack on workers. It's a bill to forbid employers from honoring employees' requests to deduct their union dues from their paychecks.

Here's the good news: The bill passed 93-62, which is not a veto-proof majority. Both Republicans and Democrats opposed it. We hope Gov. Jay Nixon vetoes it.

Here's more good news: No Rights at Work was not attached to the bill as an amendment, which was rumored to happen. Now was a ban on prevailing wages.

Stay tuned. We'll keep you posted. And thanks to all the Missourians who called and wrote their representatives and senators. You made a difference.
